Whichever shape she took, she was there for me.

Also, P is still after A – and now P’s after B, too.”

Once they’d spent some time exchanging details (”What do you mean it’s 1995? Historical AU. Excerpt: Now, finally, Ray looked closely at the boy’s grubby tunic, curiosity at his words clearing his head from thoughts of pain. It was made of light, woven cloth, the same as his own but dyed in the pattern of earth reds and oranges that Ray had been taught to hate since he grew old enough to differentiate the colors from those of his own people. “Oh,” said Ray. “You’re one of them.” / The boy bridled. “Yeah, well, you’re one of them.”

Your skin, newly stretched over your body and still pink from the trauma of being infused with life creaks as you struggle to your feet, adjusting to the unfamiliar structure of your body, the solidness and density of it. Blood still streaks your back from half healed wounds that you know will never close; those slashes on your shoulder blades were made in another world, by weapons whose marks cannot be seen, let alone repaired, in this world.

Fraser/Smithbauer, NC-17, 4481 words, AU, angst. A/N: This piece is sort of a self-contained prequel to the Rentboy AU, a due South story I’ve been working on for about a year and a half. It seems that believably turning Constable Benton Fraser into a male prostitute is tough–who knew? and I wrote this short scene between Fraser and a client to try and wrap my head around the concept. I hope to be finished the Rentboy AU by late spring (hopefully I’ll have a better title by then), so this will give you a taste of what I’ve got planned. Sex and angst, basically.

He starts the process of being born in 1978, when a copy of the Ramones’ first album somehow makes its way to the only record store within ten miles of the glorified train-stop where he lives with his dad.
Burning Down the Motherfucking House and sequel E-Fucking-Clipse[last part here] by Sister Wolf
Kowalski/Joe “Dick” Mulgrew, R for language, 3400+4950 words, AU, humour, first time, crossover with Hard Core Logo.
Excerpt: My name’s Constable Joe Mulgrew, Royal Canadian Motherfucking Police. I first came to fucking Chicago on the trail of the spooge-sucking fuckfaces who offed my fucking old man, and for reasons that don’t need fucking exploring at this fucking juncture, asshole, I stayed. While I’ve been fucking stuck in this shitty town, I’ve developed what you would call a fucking duet with Raymond fucking Vecchio, detective first grade, CP fucking D.
Four Totally Alternate Endings That Very Seriously Did Not Happen by Joandarck
PART 1: Fraser/Kowalski/Vecchio, first time; PART 2: Fraser/Kowalski, Vecchio/Thatcher, first time, humour; PART 3: Fraser/Vecchio, Kowalski/Stella, first time (F/V); PART 4: Elaine/Frannie, established relationship; OVERALL: PG, 6450 words, AU. A/N: [...] Based on that earlier script as an AU [...].
Excerpt: “Hey, Frannie.” Elaine held her head high and ignored the stares and the comments, not even blushing. Screw ‘em all anyway; like they wouldn’t love to be in her small, practical shoes.
Little Red Serge Tunic by Misha (or here) [part of The "Fractured Fairy Tales" Series]
Fraser/Kowalski/Turnbull, R, 1200 words, AU, humour, first time. Summary: The Due South version of Little Red Riding Hood.
Excerpt: Once upon a time there was a little boy. Well, he wasn’t really a little boy, in fact he was a big, hot sexy man with a lovely ass that he paraded across… um. Well, there he was. This man always wore a bright red serge tunic (and I mean really bright, like, ‘hey, I’m a target, shoot me now!’ bright), so he was known as Little Red Serge Tunic.
Louis of the Night by China Shop (or here)
Kowalski/Gardino, NC-17, 1650 words, AU, angst, first time. Written for the ds_flashfiction Rent challenge.
Rentboy!AU. Excerpt: But it was what it was and he was what he was, and he was where he was, which was the backstreets of Boystown on a quiet Tuesday night. On a mission. Top secret — just like going undercover, he told himself, not that he’d ever done that yet. But one day. Sam had said one day he’d make detective, get out of the damned uniform and be somebody. For now, he still had something to prove, and that something was here, end of the alley, two flights up.
Okay and The End by Ultra Chrome
Kowalski/OMC, Kowalski/Stella, R, 1244+1168 words, AU, angst. Written for the ds_aprilfools challenge. A/N: I’ve had an idea for an AU kicking around in my head for a while, but haven’t actually written any of it. Until this little thing kicked its way out tonight. All you need to know at this point is that Ray is a portrait artist who specialises in painting sleeping people. The rest will come out in its own time…
Excerpt: Danny sat on the edge of Ray’s bed and adjusted the hem of his silver mini skirt primly. “So why’d you leave me all alone with the lipstick lesbians and the speed freaks, huh?”
Ray and the Beanstalk by Misha (or here) [part of The "Fractured Fairy Tales" Series]
Fraser/Kowalski/Turnbull, R, 1525 words, AU, humour, first time. Summary: The Due South verision of Jack and the Beanstalk.
Excerpt: Once upon time there lived a hero. In fact there were a lot of heroes running around, mucking up tales like this one, parading around in their bright red uniforms and showing everyone how wonderful they were. I mean, there’s always a hero, isn’t there? Kind of pointless to have fairy tales without heroes. And sometimes there are more than one, and that just confuses things no end.
Smoke by Sister Wolf
Kowalski/Joe Dick, NC-17, 3300 words, first time, AU, high!Ray, crossover with Hard Core Logo.
Teen!Ray!AU. // Excerpt: The picnic table creaked as someone sat down next to him. Ray looked over, ready to tell Marty or Stosh about the beer situation, but it wasn’t anyone he knew. A big, black-haired guy in an oversized black wool coat, squinting as he lit a cigarette with the ease of long practice. He looked like a grown-up, at first, but as Ray took a better look he decided that he was probably only a little older, maybe a senior, but not from his high school. Maybe he was from the Catholic school across town.
Three Mounties and the Very Large Bed by Misha (or here) [part of The "Fractured Fairy Tales" Series]
Fraser/Kowalski/Turnbull, PG, 358 words, AU, humour, first time. Summary: The Due South version of The Three Bears (minus Goldilocks).
Excerpt: Once upon a time there were three Mounties. Well, one of them wasn’t really a Mountie, but he was dressed like one, so we’ll let it slide. Their names were Ben and Ren and Ray.Once upon a time there were three Mounties. Well, one of them wasn’t really a Mountie, but he was dressed like one, so we’ll let it slide. Their names were Ben and Ren and Ray.
Untitled Mark/Todd AU by Colleen Kane (4 parts): mark’s story, written on the body, interlude: contact, todd’s story, written on the bones, epilogue: find the river
Smithbauer/OMC, Fraser/Kowalski, NC-17, 23300 words, AU, angst, first time/established relationship. Summary: Mark Smithbauer AU, with many Notable Guest Stars and Very Serious Issues. A/N: The first thing you need to know is this is an AU, centering around Mark Smithbauer from the episode “The Blue Line.” The really funny part is, TBL never happened. All other DS canon, up through “Hunting Season,” is considered, but TBL doesn’t exist. Mark never did any of that stuff, he and Fraser never reconnected in 1995, although they have been living in the same city.[...]
Excerpt: The kid puts on a seductive smile, one that doesn’t quite fit with his apple cheeks and freckles. That’s how Mark has always liked ‘em, though, not actual jail bait but you couldn’t tell just by looking. And if he wasn’t half in the bag, that smile might’ve worked. Tonight he’s feeling tired, though, bruised and old, with no patience for Todd’s relentless energy.

I’m glad you had alternate links for Elizabeth Mc’s Slaves series! I just used the links I had at squidge and the stories aren’t there anymore. Fortunately they’re still posted at dueslash.com.
